Orange County Great Park Harvest Festival

This was our second year to attend the Orange County Great Park Harvest Festival. We had a blast last year and I still remember that we lined up for almost 30 minutes to pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

This year, I had invited my 'mah-mah' and 'yeh-yeh' to join us at the park. The line to get to the parking lot was crazy. The parking fee was $10/car. This time, we got smarter. The first thing we did was to visit the pumpkin patch to pick a free pumpkin. The line was much shorter and we got in to the patch in no time. Of course, Daddy and I went ahead to pick the biggest pumpkin ever, and I named her 'Big Bertha'. She is a pretty girl, and heavy too.

Daddy immediately took the pumpkin to the car. While he was doing there, the rest of us walked around the event area. There was a contest on the scariest scarecrow by the local community. So many scarecrows but they weren't that scary at all.

When Daddy came back, we went to fill a mug with dirt and planted some seeds in it. (The seedling grew but disappeared after a day or two, must have been eaten by some bug)There was a maze which was built from hay. I walked in and walked out all by myself.

We didn't stay too long as the day was getting hotter and we were all getting hungry. We had our lunch at Sam Woo. Initially, we wanted to take 'mah-mah' and 'yeh-yeh' to Noodle Express but the wait was too long, so we went to Sam Woo and had rice with dishes. I must have been really hungry because I had 3 bowls of rice! *I just realized that I wore the same shirt to the same event last year. LOL!
