First Day Class

First Day Class for Me. I felt so weird being in the class while Mommy was scribbling something on the paper, I started crying. I wanted to go home. This place didn't feel right for me. Felt like the doctor's office.

The people then gathered in a circle, I didn't want to join them. I kept insisting Mommy to grab the diaper bag and leave the room. But she told me to wait, I didn't know what she wanted me to wait for. Then the teacher took out a puppet - BIG BIRD. She started singing the welcome song. I like it. I stopped crying. But I didn't partcipate.

More songs followed afterwards. We sang:

  • Wheels on the Bus
  • Twinkle twinkle little star
  • Row row row your boat
  • and more!

After the singing, we did art. Mommy cut out the bus and we glue the windows and wheels on it together. I preferred playing with the scissors and glue instead. But Mommy told me not to get glue on my hand. Mommy named the bus - Brandon's Bus.

Then the teacher took out big containers of toys. I went to play with the toys. They are different from the ones we have at home. I met a new friend too. Her name is Dorothy, but we call her Dorie. She was there with her aunt, Terri. She is 3 months younger than I am but she has more meat than me. We also saw two girls from our last music class - Mika and Hina.

Besides the infant toys, they have the 'pretend play' toys too. I like to cook like Mommy. I took the pot and put it on the stove. They even have a small sink that I can use to wash the 'pretend' vegetables and fruits.
